Willow Glen Capital provides individuals and institutions an opportunity to diversify their investments by investing in regional businesses with valuations less subject to volatile trends in public financial markets around the globe.

Opportunities

Willow Glen Capital was formed in October 2010 by David H. McKinley as an investment vehicle to acquire, aggregate and operate established, privately-owned businesses within targeted industries with the intent to produce investment returns that are non-correlated and superior to those found in public markets.

We watch for opportunities produced by marketplace changes in the categories of technology and innovation, demographics of our citizenry, and the economic and regulatory environment.  Ideally, we look for an opportunity produced when multiple market forces converge to intensify the effect of the catalysts.

I’m an 8th generation West Virginian with an extensive family lineage of business leaders who have positively impacted the lives of others. It’s my hope that I will leave behind a similar legacy of improving communities in the Mountain State and throughout the region with economic development investments that will benefit many generations to come.

What We do

  • We bring together capital, strategic leadership, and an experienced corporate services team to produce successful outcomes for all parties involved.

  • We provide strategic insights to the company's management on how to fulfill evolving obligations, avoid competitive threats, and leverage new opportunities.

  • To minimize risks, we prefer succession or growth-oriented acquisitions of companies with strong long-term finances and reasonable valuations.

  • To maximize returns, we are willing to assume additional risk within a portion of the portfolio by investing in distressed, turnaround, or venture situations.

  • To leverage shared networks and cross-selling across the portfolio, we seek companies that primarily serve business owners, executives and their small- to medium-sized businesses and institutions.

  • We seek companies with diversified, predictable and recurring annual revenue, a history of profitability, a strong balance sheet, and consistent cash flow.  However, we are willing to evaluate extraordinary opportunities as well.
