Unlike many investment entities making acquisitions and operating businesses in the private markets, Willow Glen Capital avoids overly leveraging acquired businesses and does not make acquisitions solely with an "exit" in mind.  We prefer to acquire, aggregate, and operate for maximum profitability a portfolio of long-term holdings.

Willow Glen Capital is currently operating in Phase I, focused on managing a portfolio funded by the founder's assets to produce investment returns and represent the kind of results that can be produced in varying industries.  In addition to funding, the company provides its portfolio holdings:

  • Strategic counsel to management - access to professionals who have started, grown, and managed businesses in varying industries, with interests aligned with those of management and investors to think, design and create offers, practices, narratives and strategies.
  • Centralized departments to serve portfolio businesses - such as marketing, finance, human resources, and technology.  We invest more resources to accumulate capacity and coordinate capabilities to serve the portfolio than any one small company could profitably do on its own.

The fund will eventually move into Phase II and begin marketing itself to accredited investors who are poised to make long-term, illiquid investments and who exhibit the patience necessary for true business transformation, rather than simply relying on financial engineering to increase valuations.
